The Durham University Micromouse project exists to promote and encourage interest in and understanding of Robotics, Engineering and Programming by offering the chance to become involved with the development of a maze-solving robot to compete in the Micromouse@Tic and similar events.
Attention is currently focussed on developing the micromouse into a competitive entry for the 2009 UK Micromouse Competition (at Millennium Point, Birmingham).Members meet on a Wednesday afternoon in the School of Engineering to further development of the robot. However, work also takes place at other times, as and when required.
We welcome anyone, even if you are not studying Engineering.
In order to register your interest, find out how to join or find out more information e-mail the micromouse team (micromouse@durhamengineeringsociety.com).

DUES Annual Ball

Event Description: This year’s Annual Ball will take place on the 14th November 2009 at the SAS Radisson, Durham with a drinks reception, 3 course meal, disco and live band . The Ball has a “Guys and Dolls” (1920s gangster) theme and there will be a prize for the best outfit. Alternatively, please arrive dressed for a ‘black tie’ event.
Tickets are now on sale for £20 each from the Schools Reception. If you would like to reserve a table of up to 10, you can do so by contacting Paul Britton at p.d.britton@dur.ac.uk. A £5 deposit is required for each reservation.
Raffle tickets will be on sale from Student reps and also from the Coffee Bar and Reception. A list of prizes will be displayed shortly.
